Side Squat Walk

Beginner, Lower body, Quads & glutes, 3 x 12 steps each way

How to do it

Lateral walk in a squat stance with a fabric or mini loop band above the knees.

You'll need

Steps

  1. Side Squat Walk: low squat with hip-width stance.

Place the resistance band just above your knees. Stand with your feet hip-width apart, then lower into a comfortable squat. Keep your chest lifted and core engaged.

  2. Side Squat Walk: right foot steps laterally while torso stays same height.

Step your right foot out to the right, keeping your knees bent and staying low in the squat.

  3. Side Squat Walk: left follows without feet touching or losing loop tension.

Bring your left foot toward your right, returning to your starting stance. Keep tension on the band and avoid letting your knees collapse inward.

  4. Side Squat Walk: several lateral footprints then reversed direction.

Continue walking sideways for the planned number of steps or repetitions, then repeat in the opposite direction.

  5. Side Squat Walk: low posture, knee alignment and loop-tension close-up.

Form cue: Stay low, step wide, keep tension, and keep your knees aligned.
