What was tested
Each sample was tested for four heavy metals and seven kinds of microbes. The lab judged the results against GSO 1016:2015, the GCC standard for microbiological criteria in food.
Heavy metals
| Test | Simply Vanilla | Matcha Vanilla | Island Cocoa | Limit |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Arsenic | Not detected | Not detected | Not detected | None listed |
| Lead | Not detected | Not detected | Not detected | None listed |
| Mercury | Not detected | Not detected | Not detected | None listed |
| Cadmium | Not detected | Not detected | Not detected | None listed |
Not detected means below the lab’s detection limit of 0.1 mg/kg. The report lists no limit for these.

Not detected means below the lab’s detection limit of 10 CFU/g (colony-forming units per gram).
What they don’t tell you
- How much protein is in a serving. These reports don’t measure protein; the label on each pack does.
- Anything about every batch. Each report covers one sample, which we collected and sent to the lab ourselves; the lab notes that batch details were not provided to it.
- Ingredients, allergens or how to use it. DEEPFIT whey prints those on the pack. HEYDAY lists its ingredients on the product page.
