Glute Bridge with Resistance Bands

Beginner, Lower body, Glutes & core, 3 x 12 reps

How to do it

Lie on the mat with a band above the knees. Drive through the heels and squeeze the glutes at the top.

You'll need

Steps

  1. Glute Bridge with Resistance Bands: supine bent-knee setup with loop close-up.

Lie on your back on the yoga mat with your knees bent and feet flat on the floor, hip-width apart. Place the resistance band just above your knees.

  2. Glute Bridge with Resistance Bands: same setup with downward heel-pressure arrows.

Keep your arms by your sides and your core gently engaged. Press your heels into the floor.

  3. Glute Bridge with Resistance Bands: raised hips with shoulder-hip-knee alignment guide and outward knee arrows.

Drive through your heels and lift your hips until your body forms a straight line from shoulders to knees. Keep tension on the band and do not let your knees collapse inward.

  4. Glute Bridge with Resistance Bands: top hold and ghosted controlled descent.

Pause for 1–2 seconds at the top and squeeze your glutes. Lower your hips back down with control and repeat.

  5. Glute Bridge with Resistance Bands: raised hips with shoulder-hip-knee alignment guide and outward knee arrows.

Form cue: Drive through your heels, keep the knees out, and squeeze at the top.
