Banded Triceps

Beginner, Upper body, Triceps, 3 x 12 reps

How to do it

Overhead triceps extension with the long loop band under the feet.

You'll need

Steps

  1. Banded Triceps: side/rear three-quarter bent elbows overhead and hands behind head, band anchored beneath feet.

Stand tall with feet hip-width apart. Hold one end of the resistance band in each hand, other end of the band being under your feet. Bring your hands behind your head, with your elbows pointing upward.

  2. Banded Triceps: upper arms stay near head, forearms extend upward.

Keeping your elbows close to your head, slowly straighten your arms and press your hands upward, stretching the band.

  3. Banded Triceps: arms extended overhead without elbow hyperextension.

Fully extend your arms without locking your elbows. Pause briefly and squeeze your triceps.

  4. Banded Triceps: forearms lower behind head, upper arms remain stable.

Slowly bend your elbows and return your hands behind your head with control. Repeat for the planned number of repetitions.

Stop if you feel pain. This is general guidance, not medical advice.
