Single Leg Calf Raises with Weighted Ankle Bands

Intermediate, Lower body, Calves, 3 x 12 each side

How to do it

Single-leg calf raise with weighted ankle and wrist bands.

You'll need

Steps

  1. Single Leg Calf Raises with Weighted Ankle Bands: one supporting foot and other knee bent/foot raised.

Stand tall with your weight on one foot, folding the other leg. Wear the weighted ankle bands in ankles as well as wrists. Keep your core gently engaged. You may hold onto a wall or sturdy surface for balance.

  2. Single Leg Calf Raises with Weighted Ankle Bands: the supporting heel rises while the other foot remains lifted.

Slowly lift your supporting heel off the floor and rise onto the ball of that foot. Keep your body upright and your weight over the standing foot.

  3. Single Leg Calf Raises with Weighted Ankle Bands: raised-heel hold with ankle-alignment inset.

Pause for 1–2 seconds at the top and squeeze your calf muscles. Keep your ankle stable and avoid rolling them outward or inward.

  4. Single Leg Calf Raises with Weighted Ankle Bands: heel down then mirrored supporting-leg switch.

Slowly lower your heel back to the floor with control. Repeat for the planned number of repetitions, then switch sides.

Stop if you feel pain. This is general guidance, not medical advice.
