Calf Raises with Weighted Ankle Bands

Beginner, Lower body, Calves, 3 x 15 reps

How to do it

Standing calf raises wearing weighted ankle and wrist bands.

You'll need

Steps

  1. Calf Raises with Weighted Ankle Bands: standing both feet flat toes forward, cuffs visible.

Stand tall with your feet hip-width apart and toes pointing forward. Wear the weighted ankle bands in ankles as well as wrists. Keep your core gently engaged. You may hold onto a wall or sturdy surface for balance.

  2. Calf Raises with Weighted Ankle Bands: both heels raised onto forefeet.

Slowly lift your heels off the floor and rise onto the balls of your feet. Keep your body upright and your weight evenly distributed across both feet.

  3. Calf Raises with Weighted Ankle Bands: raised-heel hold with neutral ankle alignment inset.

Pause for 1–2 seconds at the top and squeeze your calf muscles. Keep your ankles stable and avoid rolling them outward or inward.

  4. Calf Raises with Weighted Ankle Bands: controlled heel descent to flat feet.

Slowly lower your heels back to the floor with control. Repeat for the planned number of repetitions.

Stop if you feel pain. This is general guidance, not medical advice.
