Arm Lateral Raises

Beginner, Upper body, Shoulders, 3 x 12 reps

How to do it

Standing lateral raises using weighted wrist bands.

You'll need

Steps

  1. Arm Lateral Raises: standing arms down palms inward.

Stand tall with feet hip-width apart and weighted bands on both wrists. Arms rest by your sides, palms facing in.

  2. Arm Lateral Raises: arms lifted sideways to shoulder height elbows slightly bent.

Keeping a slight bend in the elbows, raise both arms out to the sides until they reach shoulder height.

  3. Arm Lateral Raises: same top pose with shoulders down guide.

Pause briefly with the shoulders relaxed. Do not shrug or swing.

  4. Arm Lateral Raises: controlled side arc to arms-down position.

    Lower with control and repeat.

Stop if you feel pain. This is general guidance, not medical advice.
