Arm Front Raises, Side Lateral Raises, and Shoulder Press

Intermediate, Upper body, Shoulders, 5 + 5 + 5 each set

How to do it

Compound shoulder set with wrist bands: front raises, lateral raises, then overhead press.

You'll need

Steps

  1. Arm Front Raises, Side Lateral Raises, and Shoulder Press: standing arms by sides palms facing thighs.

Stand tall with feet hip-width apart, core gently engaged, and wrist bands on both hands. Keep your arms by your sides, palms facing the thighs.

  2. Arm Front Raises, Side Lateral Raises, and Shoulder Press: side view front raise to shoulder height with five-rep cue.

Raise both arms straight in front to shoulder height. Lower with control. Repeat 5 times.

  3. Arm Front Raises, Side Lateral Raises, and Shoulder Press: front view side raise to shoulder height with five-rep cue.

Raise both arms out to the sides to shoulder height. Keep your shoulders relaxed. Lower with control. Repeat 5 times.

  4. Arm Front Raises, Side Lateral Raises, and Shoulder Press: bent-elbow shoulder-height start to overhead press with five-rep cue.

Bring the weights to shoulder level. Press both arms overhead, then slowly lower back down. Repeat 5 times.

  5. Arm Front Raises, Side Lateral Raises, and Shoulder Press: three small distinct front/side/press poses with 5 + 5 + 5 sequence, then rest.

Perform 5 front raises + 5 lateral raises + 5 shoulder presses as one compound set. Rest, then repeat as planned.
